The equipment utilized by The Fifth Dimension Bruisers Brewery©®™ is as follows.

Brew Stand, Revision 1:

This stand is constructed from 3" angle iron that a former co-worker gave me. The burner is a cast iron unit harvested from 100 gallon commercial boiler that was being thrown away. A different co-worker of mine from the same company gifted it to me. I suspect it is around 150,000 to 200,000 BTU's converted from NG to LP.

At half-throttle position during location testing.

I had originally planned to have a second burner of around 30,000 BTU (from a 40 gallon water heater) in the smaller bay for boiling sanitation/strike water. I have not decided for sure what will be done there.

Mash/Lauter Tun:

Coleman XTREME! 70QT model with all-stainless steel bulkhead with screen instead of a manifold.

Brewpot:

I opted for the standard-issue keggle. It is a US Sanke 15.5 gallon or 1/2 barrel keg with the top cut out, and all-stainless weld-less 1/2 NPT bulkhead added. This enables us to install anything with 1/2 male NPT on the interior, with a 1/2 NPT full-port ball valve and 1/2 ID hose barb on the exterior of the vessel.

Immersion chiller:

Constructed from two 25-foot lengths of 3/8" OD M grade copper from Ace Hardware. The inner coil was wrapped around a Catalina 5# aluminum co2 bottle. The outer coil was wrapped around a Catalina 20# aluminum co2 bottle. The flow path is such that both coils' cold water supply enter and exit at opposite ends to each other. This, hopefully, allows for more uniform and rapid cooling of the boiling wort to pitching temps.

Yeast management:

18QT pressure cooker for sterilization of culturing media and all other associated equipment

alcohol lamp for sterilization of transfer tools

stir plate and stir bars that enables fast growth rates of yeast from slants

various beakers, flasks, test tubes, canning jars for preparation of growth medias

nichrome inoculation/transfer loops. you can make one from stainless or nichrome wire bent into a loop with the end twisted around itself.
